Let me guess, we're talking big, skeleton-dialled watches á la Biver now...?

Ooooh, is it a flying 360deg tourbillon Monaco 24 for £12000?

Interesting comment about chronograph diving watches.

The tweak to the tourbillion sounds good. Despite the historic claims that tourbillions increase accuracy, I have always thought that they are largely there for bragging rights. I still love them though. Anything that genuinely improves their accuracy and hence the watch accuracy is awesome.

The brand is certainly being gradually elevated and the range will be completely uplifted within the nest 2-3 years.

    Bank account is not pleased.

    Gut reaction:

XT with module for the 50th Monaco?

It would seem the perfect opportunity to see how that new movement form could serve as a base for "interesting" complications via modules.

Why make so many Aquaracer chronos then...? I like them, and my Aquagraph is a chronograph too, that can be used underwater no less!

Sounds like JCB is fudging his earlier assertion that TAG should operate in the £1000-5000 range. I think that is good though, TAG needs some high end pieces to get the trickle down kudos.

I think JCB's first mandate was to improve the bottom line and raise sales substantially. Now that he has achieved that, the company has the leeway to indulge in specialty projects, like the high end movements under the Babin era. But I also think the innovation culture at TAG Heuer prevailed, which with the help of the enthusiasts and collectors, the combined energy made a decisive impact as to the desired direction that just couldn't be ignored.

I heard there was a Heritage release due? Monaco 50?

If it has the vintage pushers, I’m in!!

How will they differentiate a 50th anniversary Monaco from the two vintage-style models they've already released? As far as I can see, the case and pushers are the only components that are unfaithful to the original

If they elect to do another heritage homage, then redoing the pushers would be the obvious change; but I doubt that they will change the case. Then again, maybe they will do a Dark Lord edition?

On the other hand, I think they will go the opposite route and will come up with a modern Anniversary Monaco.

Personally, I would prefer the heritage route, but we'll have to wait and see.

The opposite route = 49 mm skeletonized modular Biver Monaco
