Chronograph Recommendations

Hi all,

I’m looking to add to my small collection. I have a Carrera Calibre 5 (brown strap/white dial) and an Aquaracer Calibre 5 (blue) both 41mm.

I’m weighing up my next purchase, ideally a chronograph (black or white dial preferred).

What references can you suggest that would come in at a the €1,750-3,500 price range. New or pre owned.

I bought a solid dial Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer 01. Nice watch on a black rubber strap, very good looking movement and something a little different. As the Heuer 01 itself only had a production run of 3 to 4 years it maybe be a little more special in years to come.

Depends on what size you are willing to go up to? And what style of watch you are looking for.

I think 42mm might be the max (unless something larger that wears smaller). Would like a “panda” dial, but open to other ideas. Preference for a steel bracelet or black leather.

How about this one? It’s a 41mm chronograph Carrera, black leather (it was also sold on steel bracelet), black dial, with the in-house Calibre 1887 movement: CAR2110

Or this one, from the current range: The 41mm Carrera Calibre 16: CBM2110 (also available on steel bracelet)

Really like the red detailing on this, my only reservation is to how will it age!

I’m also trying to unearth a CV211D/E at a reasonable price - having foolishly let a brand new one pass me by!

Yes, and there are more 41mm panda options to look for 😉

Personally i would get this one. However it will still feel a bit too large for me(me tiny wrist syndrome). So i would suggest getting Telemeter (i might be bias since i own one Telemeter). But it might tough to find in the price bracket of <3.500 if i am not mistaken.

Please do update us what you get in the end. We are waiting in anticipation ! 😀
