After 10 years of dreaming my Monaco has finally arrived! I've never even owned a watch before so I'm glad I decided to bite the bullet for my 21st! A huge thanks to everyone for putting up with my annoying questions over the last couple of weeks but as you can imagine I was pretty scared about such an expensive online purchase. Special thanks to @imagwai, @Count.d, @abrod520, @Hubert, @Mr_Orange, @elbeik, @MRC, @TonyStark, @Gambba, @Jim Dollares, @Aquagraph for all your honest advice. I'll be wearing this for years to come!!!

The Monaco was my first dream watch too, that I bought at 25 after getting my first well-paying job. The problem was I paid MSRP for it, and vintage 1133Bs were selling for around the same amount at the time.... ::facepalm1::

Enjoy it!

Oh dear! A 1133B for the same price as a new Monaco?! Just hoping that there isn't a 50th anniversary model next year that makes mine obsolete (e.g. round pushers, new case shape)

In 2011, a new Monaco Calibre 12 (black dial) was $6500 from new, and nice 1133Bs were selling for around that level at the time. If only I'd been aware of the vintage watch market.... : /

Of course, by the end of 2012 I'd learned, and snagged an original 2447N Carrera, so it's not that sad 😀

I always wanted a Honda S2000 from first sight, ticked that box, also a Monaco, ticked that with a McQueen,(both at discount) what next? Edinburgh rugby club with a league title and cup trophy, maybe a step too far.

Congrats btw, happy birthday.

Drove an S200 for the first time recently. Some experience. It drives like a Nissan Micra below 5000rpm and then all of a sudden when the vtec kicks in it goes berserk up to the redline!!!!!!!!!!

I first ticked that box in 2006, but wasn't experienced enough to know to replace the garbage OEM Bridgestone tires. Had it 6 months before they crashed me in the rain on new pavement while I was driving like a grandma.

10 years later I moved to CA, found the only New Formula Red AP1 in the state, and ticked the box for the second time 😀

I just landed a good Omega 105.012 (the reference that was worn on the moon) so the next box to tick is a 911, but that might take a while since I keep spending all my money on watches 🤦

It drives like a Nissan Micra below 5000rpm and then all of a sudden when the vtec kicks in it goes berserk up to the redline!!!!!!!!!!

The S2000 is very fun, but I recently found myself giggling like a madman in a rental Mercedes-Benz GLA250 at the midrange torque. Last I remember entry-level Benzes sucked, but this thing rolled out! Might be time to move on from the Honda.

Obsolete? The solution is ALWAYS to buy more watches. If there is an anniversary watch next year that you fall in love with thats really good because then you know what to get as your second watch

Enjoy! Really is one of TAG Heuer's best designs and most faithful re-editions.👍

Real nice. You've got good taste for a young fella. Enjoyed following your journey making this a reality.
It feels good doesn't it. My first was my Heuer logged Black Monza back a few years now but I cherished that watch for many years until I got enough money to buy a few more niceties.
I have the original Blue dial Monaco re-edition (right hand crown) but am trying to find a reasonably priced 40th Anniversary model to add to my collection.

Anyway, congrats on the new watch and the 21st Birthday.
