What size screwdriver is required to remove the battery cover?

 

A super thin one. I think I used an Exacto blade to get the screw moving, before using my smallest micro flat head.

 

I've tried 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm and none seem to be the right size. They do go smaller but is this what I need?

 

The smallest one I have is 0.6mm. But like I said, I recall using an Exacto Blade to get it moving first. So you may need to go smaller.

I think the thinness of the flathead is key. Probably a 0.8mm or 1.0mm would work ok, if the flathead was thinner than on your given screwdrivers.
