Hello to all, and thanks for this forum. Having collected mainly 1940-1960 Omega, I recently traded one for this beauty. I apologise for the picture quality. The watch is a ref. 333 with Valjoux 22 in a chrome plated case, probably from 1943-45. My problem: The chrome plating has been worn through to the base brass case at the tip of the lugs. I have had an old no-name watch re-plated at replateit.com with excellent result, but I simply do not dare to send the Heuer case across the pond, in case it got lost. So my questions: 1. Would a re-plating of the case amount to heresy? 2. If not, can anyone recommend a serious replating business in Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands or Poland?
