Carrera bezel disaster

I’m looking at the face of a Carrera and shaking my head as I think I’ve just bought a bag of trouble!
Unfortunately my mind was focused on another lot, which escaped me
The issue is that the bezel and face are the same colour (how did I miss that?) rather than contrasting and I’m pretty sure that this is wrong as I can’t find anything similar.
Do you think I’m correct or is this genuine ?
If not what are my chances of finding the correct bezel and ‘does anyone want to buy a blue one?’

Based on feedback I’m forced to have a word with the sellers but..........

Thanks got your help

That's only the start of your problems... hands are wrong too.

You've bought either a 110.253 with an 1153bn dial, or an 1153bn with 110.253 hands and tension ring.

I saw this one beeing annnounced for auction.

Dial seems to be in excelent condition but -as said before- hands and tachy ring are wrong if it should be a 1153bn

Don't forget to check at otd before bidding

http://www.onthedash.com/chronograph/carrera-reference-1153-bn/

Tachy rings are found on ebay from time to time

Here my 1153bn for comparison

We would have to see the case ref from between the lugs to determine whether it's a 110.253 or an 1153. (Maybe there are differences in the case, but I am not good enough to be able to tell!)

Either way the dial is definitely 1153bn, and those hands are for a late '70s / '80s Chronomatic. Either a Carrera or possibly even an Autavia

Just something you might be able to clear up on your example and on most images the Tachy reads to 500 but what’s thrown me is that if you link to http://www.onthedash.com/chasing-the-grails/. The watches have different scales on the bezel.
Any thoughts?
Cheers

@Passover 's BN has its tachy ring off center (60 should be above 12, obviously) and his 73653 has a decimal-minutes ring rather than a tachy.

Well spotted! 😉

It's not fit for wearing. You should get rid of it immediately.

Send it to me, I'll take care of it 😗
