Never seen anything but orange for the chrono seconds hand, just looking up close it actually wondering if some of the hands have been painted, the surface isn't quite as even like it would be from the factory even on the subdial hands its slightly glossy and uneven
WOW...not sure how you saw that from my first photo...but you are absolutely correct. They have painted over the top of the hands. The original hour and minute hands were silver. WTF?
Are the correct hands obtainable?
I'll capture better images tomorrow, but they are clearly visible in this crappy iPhone image.
Look at these images @D.C
It appears to me the hours and minutes hands have been painted around the edges. This might be correct.
Also look at the chrono hand...the top paint is coming off at base exposing another layer underneath. Is this normal?
Is this just totally faded white?
No, the hands were originally like this- here is a Calibre 15 Carrera, albeit different colour lume
However, I do think that someone changed the hands at some point- the Calibre 11 Carreras were the first ones and used steel hands. These hands are from later models- but it was common practice to change hands during a service, so that is not a problem.
I think your watch is fine- it has original parts, but the paint is fading and peeling.
Thanks! The dial looks almost blue. It has a starburst pattern when rotated in light that makes the dial appear dark blue. Not even close to the blue above, its looks black except when light reflects off the surface. Is this the early black dial?

No, not a black...but I know what you mean. It's a very dark slate grey/ charcoal...darker than what TAG Heuer call Anthracite today...and I agree that it can look blue, especially on later models.
