Buying from Hodinkee AD

It looks like the Hodinkee online shop now carries the latest Heuer 02 models from 2020, including the Carrera Sport, Carrera, Carrera 160th, and Monaco. Hodinkee is an authorized dealer for TAG Heuer.

Has anyone bought anything from Hodinkee? How was the experience? I like that they add on one more year of warranty on top of the 2-year TAG Heuer warranty.

Bought a VC from Dink.
I received texts from a real person and was very knowledgeable about my piece.
They aren’t pushy, just happily and professionally presented it to me.
It’s expected for the lux segment they are in.
Nothing ground breaking.

disappointed they wouldn’t let me in on Blancpain FF Tribute. Sold-out 5mins before I got on. A ton of those are now being flipped on C24, at a markup, naturally.

Off topic, but how do you like your VC? I had this in blue. I ended up selling it on, but have to admit that it's a classy watch

I bought a Swatch Flik Flak Hodinkee collaboration watch for my daughter from Hodinkee. After I placed the order, I found the same watch was also available at a cheaper price, and without the US import fees from the Swatch website.
::facepalm1::

Still, it arrived pretty quickly...

Love mine. It’s seriously understated, hence, safe to travel with.
Non watch nerds never heard of it, strangely, it’s more desirable to me.
I’d rather go for the original, still, I’m a sucker for re-issues.

Funny side story:
Came in VC AD and I asked to see the Cornes De Vache.
Women behind counter replied: “You want to see a horny watch??”
(I’m a jeans and T-shirt guy. To her credit, I do look like a guy who would ask to see a horny watch.)

I explained VC just released a trio called Cornes De Vache.
Now I’m curious if they have a “horny watch” section there.

Among PP, VC and AP. I think my favorite is VC.

Never came close to purchase it though. Hopefully someday.

I’m with you. I enjoy the anonymity of VC.
sadly, VC can’t retain value.
This gorgeous 47101 below can be had for price of (new) entry level.

entry level...of VC entry level ? as in Quai de Lille ? It's still expensive for me 😁

i still go for Moser for similar price first. But Agree its a gorgeous watch 👍

I've bought LEs and such from Hodinkee, it's as legitimate an AD as any other.

I have no idea what crown and caliber is but this sounds like a nice thing. The more Hodinkee control the better for us watch fans 👍
