I'll chip in here as I've been speaking with the owner/seller. He purchased a number of watches in that auction and not being a Heuer fanatic himself he has been taking the guidance of Bonhams 'experts' on this watch who were adamant it was all present and correct-responding to the concerns I raised with various photos of actual 'Rindts' from C24 to support their labelling and pricing. I believe that he genuinely didn't know what he had bought and (rightly so) conversations are taking place.....
I quite like it (apart from the crown), but I agree it's hideously overpriced, even at the auction price.
