Latest report I see (as of an hour ago) is that it might be broken up with Audi taking the Formula 1 team (they've had their eye on F1 for a while) and BMW taking the supercars.

I wonder if then McLaren cars will improve quality control, guy in the car club was asked if he wanted the optional finish treatment at £1k to improve fit and finish, one or two Macs I've seen looklike a blind man fitted the body panels and his dog signed the job off.

Honestly this sounds made up - because McLaren would never charge just a grand for any option. Something like that would be 10k at least!
