Quick question for you lucky Monza owners. How's the timekeeping? Mine (number 111) seems to run quite slow as in dropping a minute a day. I wonder if I'm setting it right?
With my original CW2111 Monaco, I have to set that a minute ahead but then it catches up after a rotation & it works fine from there.
LVMH in the UK had it back twice and said no fault found.
Wonder if the Monza is the same?
No worries if so as I quite like mechanical idiosyncrasies.....
Thanks, Simon.
Looks like it is a Cal 17 like my 2006 Monaco.
Basically, set it a minute ahead. The second counter will go around twice before the minute hand moves.
Weird!
So i am confused. In the end is it a limited edition watch ? because i am ordering it and limited edition is a huge factor in my purchasing decision.
My understanding is that it is a numbered limited edition, however the cap is no longer the original '1976' figure.
But the "limited edition" printed on the back case still there or not ? Sorry to keep asking. I am confused if no longer limited edition then its easier decision to pull trigger on the carerra heuer 01 now ! yiihaaaaaa
My understanding is that it is a "numbered special edition"- in other words, while it will be numbered, TAG Heuer will make as many as it sees fit. This doesn't mean that it will ever be made in large numbers, but it does give them flexibility to offer it again next year.
In the few seconds I had with the watch, the deployment clasp felt a little too 'light'. Not fragile exactly but being used to more solid feeling SS deployments, this just felt a little, dare I say, cheap? Not enough to put me off one! Just enough to give me pause for thought although perhaps this is just titanium vs. steel?
What is your experience?
I've worn a tag with a ti deployment on and off for a couple of years - it's a lovely tactile thing, not at all fragile...tbh I assumed that's what all deployments would be like.
