Hahahahahaha, this is absolutely insane. Back when I first started to get more seriously interested in watches this was the only Omega I liked, just shows what impeccable taste I have. But seriously, same argument applies here as with Rolex, think of what you could get for £40k!
I remember looking at one of these in WF 2 years ago when it was slightly over 10 grand. Do people actually buy these at these prices?

completely agree - I’d be looking for a nautilus or aquanaut at around that price range if I had the cash (I don’t) and was going grey. Jeez.

You could get a Monaco V4 for that money too!

I take that back- have gone to the website and this photo shows it well...nice original sharp edges

Not refurbished to my eye. Very sharp en very clean. Small cracks in lume of hands and some lume missing from hour markers. Just beautiful.

I don't think so... the only Snoopy I've seen was a couple months ago at an AD in Dallas. They were selling it used for US $50k. Ridiculous

I've never really been into it though and trying it on confirmed that. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I dunno if I'd really enjoy wearing it.

Don't really get the idea of paying stupid money for a watch that's basically a £5-6k watch, can't help thinking that while you might think you are impressing people they are probably thinking 'what a chump', you paid 10x what it should cost...!

Tintin is going in the same direction. Maybe should’ve picked one up when I had the chance.

Agreed. Firstly, it’s not my bag really anyway to be honest but a nice watch all the same. But to buy something at 10 times it’s original rrp is senseless in my mind. Makes a white Daytona at around three times retail seem like a good deal (and I wouldn’t do that either)

Yeah... I remember seeing what must have been one of the very last new ones still available at a tiny little backwater strip mall AD in San Jose CA just as the winds started to change... it's not my thing the Tintin but I can't help but think I should've bought it cause now I could have turned that into who knows what!

Watches like that are good investments. If you can wear it and enjoy it over the years while it increases in value and rarity , that is a win. If you can get your money back and then some say in 10 years, that is sweet!!! Granted the entry point is high but imagine in 10 years

Only if you have enough experience to read the trends and confidently predict that it'll go up! Tintins had been trading for 40% off retail up to that point...

Yeah, that's why I didn't go for it - I don't really care for the Tintin and I personally don't like to hang onto watches I don't enjoy wearing. Even if I think they're gonna go up in value 😀

I wouldn't have confidence that I could buy the Snoopymaster from WF for £38,000 and sell it later at a profit.... no sir.
