New Name - same game... Well, I hope Sauber won't be forgotten.

I note that’s it’s the Alfa Romeo Racing team run by Sauber Motorsport...no change in team ownership at the moment. I wonder if technically the cars will still be called Sauber on the entry list given how hard it is to change a team’s name.

I hope Alfa find a nice way to keep some reference to Sauber on the car (eg keep using the “C” naming convention, a nod to Peter Sauber’s wife Christine)

I purchased my GTV new in 1974. Perhaps one of the fewer lower-millage examples and it still drives great.

Very cool. That engine bay is immaculate- have you done much work to the car over the years?

I thought that I did so well to sell my restored 1750 for $24,000 a few years back...now they're at least $75k 🙄 I'll stick to watches. If I ever hit the lottery, I'd love to buy one of the Alfaholics GTA-R...US$315k, but look what you get..

Thank you; imagwai, Gambba and Albert-AMG.

David,

Besides basic oil and fluid changes, I replaced the exhaust with a stainless steel system, a larger 16mm rear sway bar, slightly stiffer springs all-around and Koni shocks. I removed the cylinder head (common issue) and replaced the gasket (head work included; seals, new guides and slight resurfacing) and reinstalled Viton O-rings and roll pins (were not originally installed), some years ago. Recently replaced the heater control valve (leaking) and fixed a blowing fuse issue, that turned out to be the emergency 4-way flasher. A dose of DeoxIT and exercising the seldom-used switch, solved the problem.

As you know, with older Italian cars, it's always some little thing to tinker with. Fortunately, I enjoy electrical troubleshooting, doing my own maintenance and really love that look of the 105 GT and 115 GTV.

Yes, the value of your model GTV have really increased, in recent times.

I'm sure you have seen the video of Chris Harris driving the Alfaholics GTA-R. If not, here it is...
