    Hello all,
Newbie here, i'm going to acquire this camaro with tropical dial, wanted to know if in your opinion is everything ok, i've read in another forum that there are some dials with this experimental color of the small hands.
I know that there are some indentation, what is a fair price for you?

    Thanks!

Hi, welcome newbie! I don't see any issues with this Camaro. It fits all the criteria for the less-seen red accent 7220, including the serial-as mentioned on this page:

Not exactly sure what you mean about the small hand colour? I can see some degradation on them....? I was watching this and think you paid the right sort of money for it. Look forward to seeing some photos when you receive it.

Hi, ah I get your point. There are actually far more with all white hands than the 2x red small chrono hands. I guess those that have the red hands are from prominent websites, so it looks like they set the precedent.

They all have the red sweep hand though, as does yours. Hope that helps?

    Best, Steve

What do you think of the dial? Doesn’t look to be oxidation, but looks to have some markings..as the OP says “tropical”

    Overall, looks

I think it's rather cool. Sometimes people laud the whole 'tropical dial' thing like it's the best thing since sliced bread-perhaps trying to justify their piece. I'm not a fan often but in this case it's subtle enough to be very attractive. It is unusual though, and almost looks like water damage. I'm reminded of Stewart's old Camaro-

Seems to be the black dials on some Camaros and Autavia that can turn tropical. The real problems are with those metallic blue dials- especially the Cal. 15 Monaco and the Cal. 12 Daytona

Yeah like the CdG dials. Some of my favourite designs but often degrading sadly. :(

@SteveP I got some HD pictures and the dial looks quite damaged, as you said probably water exposure, i wouldn't call that "tropical" but damaged. What do you think?

I agree and still think it could be water damage. It's all word-play though-what is 'tropical dial' if not one that has some kind of degradation or another?

Hi, did you decide to return the Camaro in the end? It is showing for sale again....
