Calibre11
路One thing that has bugged me for a while is the way that Wordpress serves up lower-resolution images than the ones that I upload over at calibre11.com. It has good intentions (i.e. to make pages load faster), but when I upload a nice high-res file 1536px wide, that is the image I want to display...not a smaller, low-res 768px file. This was only happening on the post header and the galleries- individual photos loaded in the correct resolution.
To show you the difference, here is what you used to see if you clicked on an image in a gallery
And here is what you will now see
I haven't updated all the old posts (just the most recent five and a few others at random), but all new posts will now take a fraction of a second longer to load...but hopefully you'll agree that it's worth it 馃憤
