Probably because they were not allowed to cut the rubber on the demo watches they borrow for review?
I think Jim's right. But I also understand why they'd do it - you don't really get that great a feel for how the watch wears if it's sitting loosely on your wrist on a full-length strap or bracelet.
(Except for me. Thanks to my yeti wrists I more or less fit closely into most bracelets 😵💫 )

·But it just shows, yes you can put a normal strap on it, as long as you don't mind those lugs looking stupid. My guess is the springbar holes are drilled too low - which doesn't matter if you use the proper strap of course.

·The red and blue (and the tourbillons which I decided not to even try) are not as successful IMO. They are steel and heavy, and I don’t think the colors quite work.
The black one looks smaller due to its color, which helps a lot because those are big watches.

Hmm you’re right, they’re all titanium which I had thought initially. But for some reason the red and blue felt noticeably heavier than the black.
