Yeah, it's only slightly more than the standard new glassbox. A relative bargain compared to those pricey Monaco Skeletons. Even the panda feels like a bargain compared to the skeletons.
Honestly, even a Rolex is a bargain compared to the skeletons

TAG's teasing the Skipper starting today 😀

Where was this posted?

All I noticed on Instagram was TAG posting about Max's British GP win. I must've missed it or I'm not on the right social media platform.

Should be under £4k imo.

I don't think it's that poorly priced for a chronograph nowadays.

It was on Facebook earlier, but it seems to have been replaced by a Ryan Gosling ad. Wonder if it was posted accidentally or something

Hmmm, perhaps it was posted a bit prematurely. I was told it would be released on the 12th. So perhaps they jumped the gun by a day?

From what I’ve been told these won’t be Limited Edition. Probably hard to get hold of initially, but could see them sitting in boutiques once the collectors and enthusiasts have got them!

Little bit of clarification from a Tag Heuer event last week here in Melbourne. Skipper is not LE. Limited numbers only. Initial release here in Australia will be only 40 pieces. Boutique only and some for Online. The next likely release will be in 2024 with similar numbers.

Australia is expecting to have sold all pieces available to Boutique within a day of release. Here they are released on Thursday 13th.

Will post some pics here once the Embargo is lifted. Price in Australia is $9.8K nearly 1K cheaper than the Panda was.

In my opinion this is a great piece. Running seconds at 6 fade into the dial and aren't as pronounced as on other models. TH20 movement which is alot quieter than H02. Deep blue dial really does look great and subdial colours are very close to original.

I'm sure some will not be impressed but for me it's very good. Happy to have this along side the Hodinkee Skipper.

Since Nicholas B was at your event, I'm sure your info is accurate.

I suspected the Boutiques that said it's a LE were spinning the Limited Availability aspect to induce FOMO. Or maybe they were simply confused, which has happened before.

I am really not a fan of this intentional decision to create false FOMO with new releases. Clearly there is no rush for anyone then, these will eventually be available for everyone who wants one just like the dark lord.

Maybe not, but it's similarly money to a Moonwatch and my Datejust (which admittedly isn't a chrono).

It will definitely sell out within a day or so.
At least here in Australia.

And has a TAG Heuer badge. That Chronotempus was a steal in comparison.
