Do you guys remember seeing this on Hodinky Koscom about 2.5 years ago? If not longer...

I do remember seeing it on some website. But I don't know what "Hodinky Koscom" is, these nicknames aren't always obvious to me.

I like it. Reminds me of this vintage piece. But I'm not excited by it, I like last year's all black more.

So am I correct that the changes from 2021 to 2023 are as follows?
-- green lume on 2021 model is changed to white lume
-- black-coated case (and crown and pushers) on 2021 model are changed to stainless steel
-- white "Autavia" printed on dial on 2021 model is changed to mustard-colored "Autavia"
-- price is reduced from $7,400 to $6,750

Anything else?

Thanks,

Jeff

Do you know for sure if this new one is supposed to replace last year's all-black Autavia?

If that's the case, this one is losing what I liked the most about the old one, the green-lume.

You've got most of it covered. In addition, last year's models (released in Dec 2021?) celebrated 60 years of the Autavia, since 1962. Also, this new one has "Autavia" in a mustard color. The all black's "Autavia" was in white.

The all black is still showing on the TAG Heuer website, available to Add to Cart. I hope this new one doesn't replace it, I really like the all black and would've considered buying it. Except the lug to lug of 50+mm and thickness of almost 16mm means it doesn't wear well on my slimmer wrist.

The black one has a lot going for it and overall this looks pretty badass. However the combination of the matt case with the shiny rounded bezel is a dealbreaker. Also the green lume is a bit much. On the original Autavia the numbers were green, but the hands were standard white lume, later ageing to cream.
For those reasons I really prefer the new one. I still don't like the shiny bezel, mushroom pushers and Oreo cookie crown but the rest of the pacakage looks good. Given diameter and thickness it's not a contender for me but I get that more people will be swayed by this one than an all black chronograph. In any case it will not get better than the original bund Autavia.

Good point about the "mustard" colored Autavia printed on the dial of the 2023 model . . . I have edited / updated my original posting to add this "difference".

I have heard that the other two Autavia models (the black DLC / green lume and the silver) may be discontinued soon

One more detail, the straps are slightly different. The 2021 black has black stitching, the '23 model has white/silver stitching.

I like the new one better (significantly so), but think:
- that the faux croco strap on these watches is an obvious “faute de goût”, and
- that TH needs to offer a bracelet if they want to sell appreciable numbers of these.
