No, this model was designed before Max won. Fingers crossed we'll get a proper WDC watch later
Fingers crossed we won’t get another F1

I’ll try to make an educated guess. The 1/10 second subdial wants you to see a rev counter where usually redline is placed above the 7(000) RPM in most sports cars. Other cars have higher rev counter. The corner design is also abit odd on top of 5 and 7 hour markers. I’m trying to understand the rationale behind it. I may offer some theories but not sure if it will work 😉

I dont mind if it is a cool version of the F1, rather that than another 9k Monaco I will never be able to afford. I hope it is a bright orange fumey orange army looking dial with bright shiny metallicy bezel and Max's MV logo engraved on the back.

I'd like to see a gold dial F1. Seeing as that's never happened before!

IMHO this is still the best looking modern F1 https://www.bucherer.com/uk/en/watches/bucherer-blue/tagheuer-formula-1-bucherer-blue-old.html also considering special edition and 2 straps not a bad deal.

There will likely be another Max watch coming at some point. But per my earlier comments, I don't believe TAG has ever actually put "World Champion" on any of their watches before. Not for Prost, Senna, Schumi, Mika, Kimi, or Lewis, who were all TH "ambassadors" at the time of winning a WDC. So if they do it for Max, it might be a first.

This new one is $2150 USD on a bracelet. IIRC, the last one was around $1750. That's quite a price jump and if I'm being honest, the last one (2nd version) is a nicer looking design to me.

On the website the old one is 1850. But still, its a price increase with 16%.

It's had a price increase. When it was originally released in 2020, it was $1750. Confirmed by my old post, when I was comparing its price to the Indy F1 based on the TH website prices at the time.

Hah okey then. So that makes it, what, well isn't this interesting... 22,8%. Wasn't that the exact price increase for the 40mm Aquaracers?

Wonder if we will see the 22,8% increase for other models too during 2022. This would give us the following prices for some example models

C11 Monaco $7 798
H02 elegant Carrera $6 570
H02 sporty Carrera $7 061
Autavia three hander on bracelet $4 114

Not too into this one. I understand the thinking behind the skeleton hands (subdial visibility) but the execution coupled with the dial looks cheap?
