And yet the Only Watch Monaco rated a COCO score of 7.4, while the rose gold Dark Lord got a 7.2. Go figure? 😵💫
There are pics of the original where it looks more orange too and also pics of the carbon where it looks more red.
But the rose gold is a darker red regardless.
You know what, they may actually be the same color. Here's a fresh photo of mine.
Versus the the picture from Monochrome's shoot:
Just to be clear, my statement about possibly being the same color was between the Only Watch Skeleton and the new one.
The original Heuer DLs for sure tend to have a lighter, more "orange", tone for sure.
However, well kept specimens, like the one pictured below, appear to have a much darker hue. So my theory is that possibly the color "faded" over time and that's why some that were exposed to the sun became more orange.
If this supposition is right, then that would explain what TH were going for with the new models, because the hands don't look vivid "red" to me, the new color is a subtle "washed out red".
@hawkmercedes0417 has the best of both worlds. 😀
I wonder how many who own an original will go for the new one for daily wear?

My guess is that will change at the end of the year. Some people scored it low because it wasn't a Heuer, blah blah... I bet come the end of the year they will have 'accepted' it. Interesting to see them side by side as well, just shows that the new one isn't that much different in size.
