Yes, ever since I got my GRAND Carrera. Hmm, they are dreadfully tacky sh*t though. Make the brown dial Aquaracer look like a work of art.
I also saw them today, and I have to change my prefered order: from the pictures yellow was my favourite, but IRL is not… in fact yellow is now third, green is 2nd, and red is 1st. I would not buy any of them in any case, and less with the inflated price they have I would prefer a flat and matt yellow dial matching the strap instead of this sunburst dial
Might be popping into a boutique this evening so will see if I can take a look with my own eyes. But I would initially agree with your assessment, Rob, that red is best and yellow is peuce.
You know me, I tend to defend TAG even when they are undefendable. These are possibly the most Gucci-est watches they've ever made.
If I wore one for a week it wouldn’t retain that nice clean colour, and my wife would want to colour co ordinate my shirts/jerseys to the strap, also didn’t feel the watch sat comfy on my wrist.
The strap is ok, but it doesn't do much for me either. Haven't tried these, but I did try on the RedBull F1 which has the same rubber strap in blue.
I think I'd be more impressed with the strap if they had embossed the TAG Heuer shield into them, as a wink to the original. Then again, I just can't see spending $1800 for the new ones when an original can be had for far less money.
