I'm a little surprised TAG aren't citing the original red dial 1000 Series as inspiration here...

I too prefer the teal Carrera. The red is really lovely too, but it would need to be part of a collection - it couldn't serve as my only Carrera that's for sure.

Soooo.... a panda/reverse panda next is it? 😗

Got some live pics a few weeks ago too. Looks pretty consistent in most lighting and very shiny.

The Fratello article is actually quite interesting - it goes over the usual specs but then turns to an entire paragraph blasting the boring croc strap. Kinda like we do here, and kinda like what much of my conversations with the Boutique staff end up as too 😉

Haha, well I obviously glossed over before I got there.... nice to see a tiny bit of integrity there, I can't help but think people would moan about a pin buckle on a watch of this price.

They're not that big, really

No, but still bigger than a lot of watches I own from the 90s.... looks like a ladies watch in your hand.

I really dislike these croc straps on these heritage Carrera (well, in fact on any Carrera or Monaco) 😒

Luckily it is something that has an easy solution, but for me it would be much more attractive if it came from the factory with a classic rally leather strap.

Amazing dial anyway, but it would not be my first heritage Carrera in the wishlist: Silver is first, probably teal is 2nd… until the day, year, decade… when they stop playing with colours to launch the long-awaited panda and reverse panda! :whipped:

Seems we are of a similar mind Albert. Have retro-fitted an OEM leather rally strap to my silver. Came close to buying the teal, but ultimately have stuck with the silver. And will trade it in a heartbeat for a panda or reverse panda.

😁

Matt @Jemagloh has one on order too.
When yours arrives Hubert, how about posting us a "family photo" of all of your glassbox Carreras? 😀

Ah, but everyone will be flipping their silver dials at the same time and flooding the market... 😵‍💫

Well a few would for sure, but I don't think there are that many silver dial Carreras out there in watch enthusiast land.
