Nice choice @McBeardy. I have to agree that I would have gone with the Carrera too. Very nice design and looks like it fits you well too. Nice to have the bracelet, but I think it looks nicer on the leather tbh. Enjoy!

Thanks, I agree the contrast is nice.

Shame about the Monaco, especially as the want was long for that watch. But when you know - you know.

Hoping something attracts my attention in the upcoming Watches & Wonders. A simple 3 hander with a silver dial is next on my list, between 36-39mm.

Never understood the attraction of a Silver dial, but lately it is growing on me. Something blue for me before that though, I think.

Watches & Winders could be interesting, I agree!

Whenever my other half wears her Tudor, I find myself just admiring the sunburst dial.

The Carrera grey man is nice, ideally I'd like 38mm and no date. But TH aren't going to do this. I'll see what Tudor announce this year

Out of the more recent Panda dials from other brands, I guess Breitlings Premier is the closest, but also a lot more expensive.

Personally I feel the design of the TAG more pleasant, event the running seconds doesn't both me (Yet on the 02 Monacos it does).

Hit me up in the dm's if you want me to send you the holy book of silver. Reading it will change your life.

Mainly the Carrera Grey Man I like, but not on the leather or bracelet, plus the date ruins it.

Rolex used to do a 36mm silver dial OP (the older maxi case) was amazing but now discontinued.

The silver dial Tudor BB36 seems odd in the pictures, plus too thick & ETA. .

I think you made an excellent choice. The Mcqueen will always be around, new or second hand. But that WoS won’t be.

Go for it.

Thinking about it, I have technically been a secret Silver dial fan for a while, as my Black Seamaster looks closer to Silver than Black for most of its time.

Still quite tempted by that Tudor 😗😎
You know you want it! It’s a really good watch and good value comparatively. (If any of these trinkets can be considered good value)

Currently add me down.

Discussing new straps in the AD where I got the Monaco, kept coming back to this, as the Monaco felt odd on wrist.

Now walked away with the Carrera. On strap but bracelet due in.

Currently finding it wears better on my wrist than the Monaco. Impressed with the movement even the fidget spinner aspect (although my dads Breitling Valjoux 7750 made a bigger wobble).

Guess I can pick a Monaco up easily in the future if I find its pulling me back.

Good man - that’s answers my question from the other thread. Looks great. A really nice watch. Enjoy it and great that you will have the bracelet for a change up also.

Like you say, you can pick up the Monaco later should you wish. Congrats.

First one I've seen for resale.
Can't remember what retail price was.

It was $6350. The used price seems quite reasonable.

UK price was £5,250 on the strap and £5,500 on bracelet I think. WoS now out of stock (odd as I'd have thought the low numbers 250ea would've sold quick). Chrono shows £3,932 for me, unsure if thats the norm for elegant Carrera's

If say it's a bit on the high end if you do a global average across all variants, but I've also found the prices of used Elegant Carreras to vary tremendously depending on geography.

If you factor in the rarity, I feel its pretty fair.
