I actually really like this watch. (Except the size).

But then if I had to compare it against another watch in my collection, it would be my colourful summer watch - the Squale 1521...

Both Swiss made
Squale has 500m water-resistance vs 200m on the TAG
Automatic ETA vs Quartz on the TAG
Oh, and the Squale is cheaper

On the plus side, the TAG has a ceramic bezel compared to the aluminium on the Squale. And you can't have the Squale in orange (unless you hunt down a limited edition they did). But then I suppose this is sort of limited isn't it? What does "online exclusive" mean?
If you really like the watch, you might find that 43mm isn't too bad.

I also have slim wrists and consider 39-41mm to be my sweet spot. But I made an exception for the 43mm F1 Gulf because I just had to have that watch. It didn't wear as big as I had thought, now I don't even think about its size.

Hopefully I will have it by end of next week. Easter approaching might delay it a few days.
The inspiration for this model comes from the 1986 and 2011 F1 models according to Tags official specs.

Maybe the former marketing copy belonged to that 2011 model with the pvd crown 🙄

I've been told it is Limited Edition.

This 👍 Orange looks cool though especially McLaren outfits their racecar “papaya orange” 😉 Thus brings back the TAG Heuer days with McLaren F1 📖

Probably why it attracts me.. being a Daniel fan this Orange was a must have.
Now I just need McLaren to perform well this season.

That’s a good one 👍 Also one of my favorite drivers, the honey badger (from Red Bull, to Renault and now to McLaren) fearless overtakes 😉

Wouldn't it have made sense to make this a Max V limited edition? Orange dial must appeal to the Dutch fans...
