I think the black ring around the dial stops the dial feeling too big... given that it's a 43mm three hander. Definitely seems smaller on the wrist than the Senna - which is odd because black watches usually feel small.

Don't be such a misery. Getting that box and packaging with an F1 is awesome.

It would annoy me, not just from being a pain to store somewhere, but knowing that I've effectively paid for it. Not only that, it's just what our planet does not need.

    Minor problem.

I would be more annoyed about how much they pay their ambassador twats and how that impacts the watch price.

Fair point with which I agree.

It's very cool, but I agree it doesn't exactly look good on TH from a sustainability standpoint, and it's a good job all my other watch boxes aren't this big or I would need a bigger house! Kinda know what it feels like to buy an Omega Speedmaster now. It must have cost a bit to make, I could understand them using it for a Heuer 02 but an entry level quartz?

All the online sales come with this box.
From the entry level to the Tourbillon.
It's so you can return the watch safely just as it gets delivered safely in that ample packaging.

Really? Seems like just the normal box in an outer cardboard box worked perfectly well before...

They have had to up the appeal of online shopping given that many boutiques around the world are closed.

Yeah, although most people wouldn't know until they purchased.... so as an incentive, it's not great is it?

Seems a bit odd in this day and age to go this crazy on 'packaging'... I can't help feeling they are asking for a fight with someone.

Hahaha, maybe! I like it, but then I think the world is already f**ked and no amount of deckchair twiddling is going to save it....

Profit isn't everything is a nice idea, but the financial institutions who hold your house as collateral for your business probably disagree.

There is a better way to structure the tax system of every country, create greater equality, smaller governments and more sustainable use of the limited resource known as land: https://www.prosper.org.au/2019/10/stamp-duty-to-land-tax-the-transition-in-brief/

My Hodinkee Dato came in that small black box you can hardly see in your photos. And with a sleeve around it
