LE of 300 for Japan- DLC case/ green sapphire case back.

from the website:

A sporty 44mm stainless steel case with a black DLC coating and a black ceramic bezel create a distinctive look. The special stainless steel caseback is set with green sapphire crystal and engraved with the words "Special edition Japan" to indicate it is limited to Japan and the serial number to indicate that it is one of the 300 limited edition models.

Surprised to see a black coated steel case, thought they usually opted for titanium to make the coating a bit tougher

Seems they're moving to steel - the Aquaracer Night Diver is coated steel too, instead of Ti like before. Too bad IMO

I wonder if it's to put a lid on price increases...the new Aquaracer comes in at a fair premium to the old series, with the titanium watches at the top end. The 844 Edition for example is lovely, but getting towards Carrera Heuer 02 pricing

Yes the pricing on the 844 and the titanium Aquaracer is kind of ridiculous. They both cost more than the new Tudor black bay with ceramic case.

I'd missed the BB Ceramic...that's going on the list. Plus it has a manufacturer movement not a 43% failure calibre.

Jeez, only 300 made and it is still available and offered at a reduced price more than one year later
