Hi, my local TAG Heuer boutique in Singapore is telling me the CAZ2016 green dial is no longer in production and they can only get it by transfer from another country after I pay a 40% deposit. Does that sound correct? I'd really like to see the watch before committing to purchase though. Thanks for any advice.
There have been some models recently that were very limited but without bein limited editions. Another example was the emerald green Aquaracer which sold out in many places just after release.

It's probably true, these 'Novelties' as they like to call them are seemingly only out there for a short while. I've come to the conclusion that if you can get it from a high street jeweller then it's a 'standard' model, but if you can only get it from the boutiques it's a 'novelty' piece and though they don't call it 'limited', they make so many and when they are gone they are gone - see my experiences trying to get a green dial Aquaracer!

Thanks Jim and Aquagraph. I really like the watch in the official photos but am concerned about the colour mismatch from some of the comments here. I've seen other TAGs before where the photos look great but when I saw the piece I was disappointed. And I feel like green is a difficult colour to get right, having also ruled out a bunch of green dial Panerais and Omegas when I actually saw them. One reason I'm looking for a green watch is I have a Squale 'Alpine Green' GMT Ceramica, which has a perfectly matched sunburst dial and ceramic bezel which both glow in the sunlight, and I've still never seen anything that can match it up to 20 times the price (i.e. a Hulk). I was hoping the TAG could be a candidate, but not sure now. Still very happy with my TAG Calibre 8 GMT silver dial big date though. Cheers.

To be completely honest, having seen it myself, I wouldn't buy it without seeing it.

I agree that green is a "difficult" color to get right. We gonna need to see some photos of that sexy Squale of yours 😎

Just to add to this- yes, the watch is sold out and yes, ADs will often ask for a deposit before they arrange for it to be sent, especially when its coming from another country.
