Monza with the correct logo would be awesome 馃槑

I'd like to see a modern interpretation of the Monza, with the appropriate logo. While we're on the subject of retroism, is it cool to make new non-authentic retro watches? Isn't that the horological equivalent of the Chevy Cruiser? 1200px-06-08_Chrysler_PT_Cruiser.jpg

That car is kind of cool but I would of course never pay money for an american car 馃榿

But what is the definition of "non-authentic retro"? Does a product have to be based on and be the same name/brand as something that actually existed in the past to be allowed to feature retro design elements? Not in my opinion...

Uh right, both are blue and have 3 hands and numerals. Absolutely identical. 馃槈 just joking.

It is the same thing but why I have been shouting in anger every time that one comes up is because the discusting creature named Kern is butchering the whole brand in so many ways, not only "abusing" the name of the Navitimer 馃槈

Saw on instagram that the idiot has come to his senses though and decided to keep Schneider's wing logo on the sports models so that has calmed me a lot!

Discountinuing almost all HAQ models still pisses me off though...

I certainly don't think the Chrono is dead!

That's nice, but I'd rather they refined the 2446-style chronograph rather than just chrono'ed this pilot's watch or whatever it's supposed to be

That's a Chrysler PT Cruiser, and while it looks dumb now it was a huge sales hit during the "retro-futurism" trend of the late '90s- mid-ish 2000s.

Chrysler... yes, no wonder I struggled to find it Googling Chevrolet! I think it was a Dodge in the UK wasn't it?

Could've been, but I thought Chrysler sold all of its corporate products under the Chrysler name in Europe / UK - for instance, the Vipers that raced at Le Mans were branded Chrysler, while it was a Dodge product.

Aha the TH guy says in the Fall chronograph Autavias with 01 or most probably 02 will be launched 馃槈
Those would be easy to imagine. But maybe harder to distinguish from the Zenith Tipo CP2.

I live in hope. The Viceroy is the first modern autavia that's screamed 'buy me'.

If that's true, just guesswork work but me thinks:

Spring '19 = new Aviation launch --> Isograph intro of 3-hander w/Arabic numerals, slimmer case, various styles
Fall '19 = tweaked Autosport design --> 02 movement + slight course-correction of 2017 case, new models

Hopefully anything auto/motorsport related will still have the heritage logo. TH logo looks like the logo of a holding/parent company, fit for press releases and reception desk graphics.

I don鈥檛 think we鈥檒l be seeing the Heuer logo on the chronographs unless they launch a heritage edition like the bund or an Andretti. Pretty sure the main idea is a Tag Heuer line of autavia chronographs to firmly place it as a new core brand in the range. A two subdial chronograph seems most likely, probably evenly designed as a racing and aviation themed watch with the same warm hues as the new line. Not a full on racing or pilot watch. They chose Dempsey as an ambassador and not Chuck Yeager. Looking forward to seeing the chronograph case with brushed details.
