Experience was good; downside was they did not have the original box for the module, so they put it on a regular TH box. To compensate they gave me and the wife TH hats and cleaning cloths. The salesperson was very professional, and took care of the VAT paperwork. They had a pretty comprehensive selection of TH watches.

Nice to hear! I bought my Autavia from the TH boutique in Taipei and they were really professional as well, so a big kudos to their sales teams I guess!

Any chance some connected person here can ask tag to consider another model of seperately sold tourbillion modules as well ? 🤪 i mean I am sure even existing luxury kit owner will interest on a different looking version as well . There is definitely market for this

Agree but let's expand the idea! How about a 41mn Aquaracer variant for example? I think that Tag Heuer has a real opportunity here to take the modular concept well beyond the connected "niche" mindset. I really like being able to quickly change straps on mine; why not modules as well?

Just curious: any rumours about the calibre 16 chrono module as part of the exchange program?

I asked and was told it wasn't an option.

Maybe you could get a discount (a calibre 16 instead of an exchange-calibre 5)....

Funny you should say that, one rep did say this maybe could be a possibility, but the discount would only be for $400 US dlls towards the Calibre 16 module.

However, since I still wear the original Connected 46mm regularly, it's worth more to me than that discount, so I passed. Keep in mind, because this potential option is not part of the "Trade-in" program, it should not be expected.

I ordered the mechanical Calibre 16 chrono module in Barcelona (Union Suiza shop), three weeks ago, and it arrived today... it’s so beautiful!! 😀

I raised the question to TAG Heuer about whether this could becoming an upgrade option for the original Connected. Unfortunately they said: "NO".

Availability in the US is expected by late March or early April; initially in TAG Heuer Boutiques with a retail price of $2700 US Dlls.
Hi Hubert, is a 41 mm calibre 16 module available ( in the future ) ?

Yes, the AWBF2180 Calibre 5, but haven't seen a Calibre 16 in 41mm.

Funny how even the TAG Heuer online store shows a "draft" picture for this module.

I took the plunge as I saw the modular calibe 16 and was amazed at the sheer beauty of this watch, beats the calibre 5 any day hands down ... got it delivered yesterday and here are some pics, I used a small remote to prop it up to get some good pics !
I just bought myself as a Christmas present the Calibre 16 module. I already have the Calibre 5 module too. I thought that there would be no comparison between the two and that the Calibre 16 would be a lot nicer than the Calibre 5, but now I'm not sure. Each has its own personality. The Calibre 16 has of course more presence and it's a lot sportier, but the Calibre 5 has its own charm. It's a dressier watch. I was planning to sell the Calibre 5 but now I'm not sure if I want to.
I'd be interested to know, which design others prefer.

I prefer the Calibre 16 -no doubt- but I also would like to have the Calibre 5 in my “Modular collection” 😉
