2018 Monaco Gulf Strap Length

I've just recieved my 2018 Monaco Gulf, and my god its stunning in flesh and really has exceeded expectations. The 1st edition was released the year i was born and its been a dream to own one.

The only issue is the leather strap seems exceedingly short and its extremely snug with around 2mm of strap left on the deployment clasp. The retailer i purchased from have ordered a longer strap from Tag which will take approximately 10 weeks so to arrive, so not too concerned.

I also own a titanium Connected and Formula 1 Calibre 16 and these straps as standard are fine ...the Connected quite loose in fact. Are Tag Heuer leather straps in general quite short compared to the metal link couterparts and other brands? Its the 1st time I've faced this issue.

The pedantic part of me wishes the case was covered in leather, but it looks the part none the less.

My wrist circumference is 21cm and the last picture shows where the standard strap is clamped so it fits my wrist.

I recently ordered the same strap for my Monaco Gulf Grey (40th Anniversary of the movie Le mans version). Ad told me 4-6 weeks, but it took around a week and half to come in. So I think you may get your "long" strap sooner than 10 weeks. As you can see in the placement of my clasp below, I'm on the other end of the spectrum with slim wrists. However, out of curiosity, I measured the Gulf strap against my Breitling and Omega leather straps and they're all about the same.

The Gulf Monaco is a dream watch, happy to see that more and more have popped up more and more on the forum!

Tax return!!!! all I get at the year end is demand for more money so no new watch for me.
