Note that the Monaco is the same as the Gulf LE launched last year- as mentioned at the time, the first launch was US only with worldwide availability coming in 2018. There is one difference: the caseback (and a different reference number)

The 2018 Gulf Monaco is CAW211R and has an “engraved” case back..don’t know 100%, but sounds like it will be closed

Aston Martin versions not my cup of tea.

Really glad to see the Gulf Monaco go worldwide, increases my chances of finding a used one in the future 😀

CAW211R is last year's reference number.

The article from Monochrome Watches references "2018", but has pictures from what appears to be last year's model.

Interesting. The original information that I had referenced CAW211T, which did have the different case back. Perhaps in the end, and given how close the two references were anyway, they decided to use the same case back and reference number

That is certainly a possibility. Probably good news for people like me who purchased the 2017 Gulf Monaco.
