I wasn't intending to cast dispertions about Govberg but I find the colour scheme rather odd. Red accents on the hands mixed with the Gulf orange. Time will tell.... 😀

They are just reusing them from the existing McQueen model.

Possibly. If they are, that shows a lack of thought around the design which generally isn't something TAG Heuer gets wrong with their heritage/classic models.

I agree with you that having black subdials and white/orange accents would have been optimal. However I won't dismiss this new one just because of their absence.

Ah well. With the red and orange colours clashing, it is unlikely I would have bought one anyway.

That is good news for me. Tired of UK exclusive Carreras. Any word on the availability timeframe? Is it still September?

No update on timing, but the September date came from a US dealer, so I reckon that will be pretty close to the mark.

Surely the red/ orange will be resolved before it's launched

I don't think McQ ownership is relevant. Watch purchases should be about heart, not head.

The dial is a metallic/ sunburst blue, the hour markers are Orange..but the hands are Red.
