Reading Jack Heuer's book I have to say Steve McQueen sounds like a bit of a knob...

I like your avatar sir @dp. 😉
Gorgeous SMQ Monaco! 🥰

Guess I should be a bit more 'creative'. Once I get some nice snaps of the Monaco I'll change it. Yours is awesome as well. Thx

Out of interest does any SMM owners have the 50th anniversary 70s model as well? (think that's the grey dial/ blue strap option) and have pictures with that blue strap on the McQueen model? I'm hoping the blue and red pair nice with the dial. Thanks

I think you mean the 90's model, this one right?

I own one and actually purchased a spare strap. But I haven't tried it on my C11 McQueen because I prefer a different strap on this watch. However, I've seen someone put that strap on a C12 McQueen. See this post, which will give you an idea: https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...share-your-photos.61772/page-144#post-1627140

I'll add that @VirgileF has put the Brown strap from 70s model on his SMM and it looks quite nice. See: https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...share-your-photos.61772/page-158#post-1673654

Brilliant thank you, yes that's the one! From what I can see seems a good match, the brown one was another I liked the look off. IMHO the standard strap seems less equal to the watch.

Here’s mine, the strap is from the Gulf version I think but it might give you an idea, sorry weather/lighting poor today.

Thanks am I right in thinking, the Gulf version has orange stitching compared to red?

Correct, but it was readily available.unfortunately in the lighting I tried it the blue seems either darker than it is or bleached out by flaring., there may be shots of it on the correct watch that show it better.

Brilliant thank you. I'd think my mild OCD may not forgot the the orange & red combo, but possibly OK with the red and other red from the 90s edition.

Must say as member of other forums, the help/ info here and less bickering is refreshing
