    Hey Folks,

I am interested in picking up an 1133B in good shape but not a 100 point in car terms. Think good Daily Driver.

    I saw this:
1133BDialCorrodedHands.jpg Is that corrosion or whatever on the hands normal? BTW, this is supposedly a Transitional version.

    Thanks,
    Robert

    Doesn’t look like corrosion.
A good watch maker can clean up those hands.

Make sure you find a watchmaker who can to service it.
Many of my local guys refused.

Update us if you follow thru with purchase.
    Good luck.

Yes, this is a transitional dial, so it's VERY rare.

It looks like most of what you're seeing is degradation of the lume.

A good shop can clean it up, but stay away from having them do anything that would polish or remove its patina. That would be the wrong direction to go.

The case is in good shape. Watch worth 26K us?

    Thanks Folks,
    Robert
PS: How did you recognize it as transitional?

Yes, transitional given the metallic dial with vertical graining and the square hands.

Yes, worth more than a "baby blue" 1133B that came later

Yes, oxidation on the dial- unfortunately very common on vintage blue dials in particular- just try and find a Calibre 15 1533B that doesn't have some sort of oxidation.

I knew they were worth more, just wasn't sure how much in this condition. One last thing, they show 40mm and I have seen this elsewhere. 1133B's are 38mm are they not?

    Thanks:)

They are, but it does depend how it's measured (including or excluding crown).

Of course. I find it strange they aren't using the official number.

Hope y'all have a fun weekend,
    Robert
