Greetings guys, new member here. I'm curious as to how thick the 02 gmt is compared to the carrera 01, in which I have. Have any of you tried on the 02 gmt or seen it in person?

I am dying to see this one in person to see how it looks. I may be tempted to pull the trigger on the rubber version. I have been waiting for the Heuer 02 in a Carrera form. I this isn't too thick, I may be mine.

Anyone know when these are slated to hit shelves?

I believe the GMT is out this year (i.e. soon!) but that the other Carrera Heuer 02 models will be moved to 2019

Why are they delayed so long for other Carrera Heuer 02? :/

Could it be that it is a strategical choice to move old stock of Heuer 01 versions? If price point is basically the same most people will go for the 02 version once it is released, dont you think?

I have tried it and my conclusion was that it is one giant sexy beast, big, chunky, thick but not obviously worse than the 45 mm Heuer 01 I would say.

This could well be the reason

Ah I see. That does make sense. Not to mention it having a higher power reserve. Let's wait and see

Do we know if the heuer02 gmt will be a 'true gmt as in jumping hours for easy adjustment to local time? Pretty key feature I'd have thought...

Thanks - but I cant see from these articles whether it will work like the rolex/Tudor where you are able to jump the main hour hand and leave the 24 hr hand showing time back home or like the eta versions currently offered by other brands... which are a bit more fiddly to set

Quite a few online sites taking pre-orders. Not sure if that means anything (never heard of most of the sites), but one thing they all have in common is the £4,900 price.

I’m still convinced this is overhyped, it assumes you leave the 24hour hand on time at home when you are at home, which seems kinda pointless. If you use the 24hour hand for another zone when at home, you end up setting both hands anyway, so it makes no difference.

The H02 GMT is now available in the US. I got a confirmation from TH Boutique here in Orlando, FL.

Cheers !

I’m looking forward to seeing this one in the metal. I’m keen on adding a 01 style no face/skeleton Carrera to the collection but at this point it makes sense to wait for the 02 models to come out.

It looks stunning in the metal; only the upcoming mystery Carrera held me back from buying it on the spot!
