Why no coloured cases?

TAG Heuer have always been big on colour, and yet for some reason they haven't made a single watch with a 'coloured' case. I began to wonder if there was a technical reason for this, but Maurice Lacroix have made the Pontos in blue...

Which means there's no reason why TAG couldn't (for example) recreate some of their 80s F1s in steel/titanium - or give us an array of coloured metal watches...

I wish Tag would go deep into the world of ceramic cases and offer Aquaracers, Autavias (the current one), Carreras in ceramic. If done right, they could also then do colored ceramic cases

which would also cost a hell of a lot more as well as compete with hublot. Not saying it would not be good to see - but those factors need to be considered,

i have 3 ceramics. Some don’t like them and are critical of the risks. But I like the finish and scratch resistance.wish there were more colour options available too!

Ah yes that I did not think of, good point!

Hopefully in the future though it can become something that is more available in lower price ranges, similar to how ceramic bezels were once a luxury thing and now can be found in all price ranges

I’m sure it will happen. Only a matter of time. They are very expensive to make by all accounts (compared to SS). Omega have a great video on the process. It seems quite complex!

it is very artsy and marketing hype I’m sure, but seems to be quite an energy intensive process!
