Just imagine if it was a Grand Seiko
I do like Grand Seiko, but there’s no getting away from the awkwardly positioned power gauge which often jars with those lovely dials.

But then I really love this dial which not at all detailed or flashy, just plain in tone which just keeps your attention in its matte simplicity.

I also like the lack of flashy edged indices, with this one just having blocks of lume. Nice to have this clean simple piece next to others where I enjoy the flashiness.

Variation is key I think.

That strap is and combo is epic! I wish I could find that strap somewhere!
Yes, the Kingsman orange alcantara (suede) strap is also one of my favourites from all the Modular 45 collection 😍

But this strap was never sold separately, so to find one you probably have to buy (as I did) the full set of the Kingsman Special Edition. That way you also get the specific Kingsman black titanium buckle, and the rose gold lugs (available as a separate accessory, but at €2700 😱), so if you find a used Kingsman full set at reasonable price, go for it 😉

Me too! J.C. Biver was very proud of this second generation of the Connected when he introduced it in 2017: it was the only Modular generation and the only Swiss Made (in La Chaux-de-Fonds) generation, which was also the first Swiss Made smartwatch ever.

Unfortunately, starting with the third generation in 2020, without Biver, it lost its Modularity and was made in China… We'll see what happens with the fifth generation, scheduled for 2025… 🤞🏼

JCB solved the problem of tech becoming obsolete and then they threw it out the window.
