Not a TAG today. I couldn’t get my mind off this Mido Ocean Star Tribute special edition.
Congrats brobeans!!! What a wonderful beautiful looking piece this is, I've been drooling over this one a few times myself. How do you find the bracelet, it looks amazing but how does it wear?

Thanks dude!! I have a good relationship with the AD so they were able to help me out a little. I originally went in just to go window shopping…. Ended up cleaning the house up really nice before my fiancé gets home. (Totally unrelated to the purchase of course) 😗

the bracelet is pretty awesome! I’m familiar with this clasp from another Ocean Star that I had. But the bracelet feels a little on the cheap side? Then again all brand new bracelets feel cheap to me for some reason. I will say that the total package has me blown away for the price point. When he told me it was $1200 I was pretty surprised, I was guessing it was around $2000

A good bracelet should be like my personality. Flimsy, cheap, loose and comfortable. The uncle rice bracelet I bought a while back feels light weight and cheap too but that just adds to the vintage vibe experience on wrist in my opinion.

Yes! 😀

The original Sellita suddenly just stopped working 😒, and the budget to service it was higher than buying a new ETA 2824-2 movement (price is just slightly higher than for a new Sellita SW200-1), so I decided to upgrade the “engine” and put the ETA inside, although keeping the original TAG Heuer rotor and date disc which are directly interchangeable between the Sellita and the ETA movements 👍
