A new purchase for me. I realise this isn’t to everyone’s taste but I have kept coming back to it online for around 2 years. Never managed to see one instore, but was on sale so ordered just for the heck of it. I have to say that I love it. Will be putting away for a bit as a birthday present, as none of my family have given me anything but cash for quite a number of years and this is something the can finally wrap up for me. 😀

Congrats @bpsmith!!! 😎
Did you buy it knowing it's a remake of the watch Roger Moore wore as 007 in Live & Let Die?

Pulsar was a sub-brand of Hamilton. Back in 1973, this watch was very expensive and considered to be part of the new "space age" for watches. I've had my eye on it for a while as well, mostly because of the James Bond connection.

Looks bigger in photos, so here’s a shot next to my Aquaracer:

Very cool watch and a great pickup! I have had these on my wish list for a long time, the gold one really speaks to me. It was “the watch” back in the day - very expensive back then and was a luxury item

Thanks for the info. I didn’t know the significance when it first caught my eye a couple of years back, but I have investigated more over that time and found out a lot about it. It really is a cool piece.

I went for the green as it was different to the standard red, to differentiate against the original, although having Hamilton on the case is the giveaway. I understand that they did do some green ones originally too, but not many.

The gold is very cool too. Probably the most collectible of the rereleases. Black is also nice. I just have to stop myself picking up one of each now. 😀

I had a feeling that’s where you were heading. Touché. 😀

I am not against vintage at all, as long as the design grabs me. That’s paramount for me, new or old.
