That movement is quite the quartz movement, too. I love these 27 jewel ETA movements! I have yet to add an S/EL to the collection, but when I do it will most likely be a chrono.

You can imagine how I felt when mine came back from service with the later dial... 🤮

Tried on a few watches today. The new glassbox 39mm looks too small. The 42 too bulky. The 42 glassbox is pretty perfectly sized. I like that one a lot. The new Monaco isn’t too bad either, too thick though.

Funny, I finally got a chance to try on the Turquoise Monaco today too. Not as bad in person but still probably not something I’d go for.

Also totally agree on the 39 vs 42 glassbox. I think the regular 42s will be nice whenever they happen, since they wear closer to 40.

But the 39mm works better on the bracelet IMO:

I must have missed that… So, the Tourbillon uses a “glassbox” case that is fundamentally different from that of the 42 “Elegant” Carrera? 👎

And somehow happy to hear that I’m not the only one feeling that the 39mm glassbox looks almost comically small on wrist…
