I had thought the 5513 had frameless hour markers and that the framed hour markers started with the 14060. But it seems late model 5513s had them too. Learn something new everyday. 😀

These transitionals are def hard to pin down. And then there's all the sht that goes wrong with each specific iteration
Vintage watches are a minefield

Overlooking Boston, the North End.
Oh cool! I’m about an hour south of Boston but haven’t been there in years. Gotta take the short trip up for the watch shopping. There’s nothing here in CT

It has a domed plexi, could only have been a 5513. The very latest 5513 had closed 6 so this one is earlier than that. 1986 seems logical, right after the maxi dials and first with applied markers.

Yes, but the way the light reflected on the crystal in his first pic, it actually made it seem like it wasn't domed. Which was another reason why I thought it might not be a 5513.

Aquaracer returned for service and repair, so enjoying Fathers Day with Seamaster and family instead.

Sorry to hear that about the Aquaracer, @bpsmith. Hope it is back to you sooner than the estimated time. In the meantime, love that black Seamaster (and now I'm hungry and thirsty, too).

AK..I always liked it but apparently never loved it. Thats an elusive criteria for me sometimes. To be listed soon.
