Circling back to my Zenith Defy… which kind of made me wonder:

Do we like these old watches from the 60s and 70s because we’re massively projecting our idea of better horological days…

Or - more objectively - did this period just have a bunch of great (and then well executed) design ideas? 👎

Saw that in steel in the Zenith boutique on Saturday. It does not speak to me of 'better horological days' to be honest. 😲

Interesting that 70s and 80s watches are next to board the hype train, albeit some of them will need some major massaging to be palatable to modern tastes. I find it funny how Chopard claim this beautiful thing

Well now I guess you could say they did kind of copy the bezel, kind of. Except they made it round, and hinted at the old shape with the case... it's pretty clever I suppose, and certainly makes it a lot more agreeable. And the centre link is similarish.

A few days late, but it was this thankfully.

Short cycle ride home from work & i took a side swipe from a van. CT scans & x rays later, with the all clear, just some cuts and bruises, and stitches in my ear. Scary times for a bit.

G shock done it's job, BB58 was secure in my back pack. Will say thank god for my helmet, without that it would've been a different story.

Can't believe it took me so long to get an SLR. So much more wearable on the the rubber too, which is a shame cos the bracelet 'looks' amazing.
