I just don’t think the new glassbox design works. They have tried to crossover the old to new customers but, in my opinion, it misses the mark for those of us who aren’t into the vintage so much and the vintage fans prefer the proper glassbox.

I’m looking forward to ordering some more Atelier Romane straps soon. Really been enjoying how they’ve freshened up a couple of my Day Dates!

The more you tell me you hate these, the less I like them

I didn't like them much before, but now I've seen them I really really dislike them. I mean I was always able to maintain a slightly grudging respect for the old glassboxes, like... okay not my thing but I'd still score them a 6 or a 7. These are just awful. And they look tiny. And I was wearing a 37mm watch. I cannot believe there is 1mm difference between the AR and these things. Maxine said she would wear them....

It seems that these new glassboxes are not very photogenic, because I don't like it in this photo but I've seen some videos where I quite like them (this blue one and also the black reverse panda)... I'll definitely have to see them IRL to be able to comment. But if you, who have had it on your wrist, say that you don't like it at all... 🤔

I've had the Reverse and Blue on the wrist. I must be in the minority because I think they are great. I can't wait for the next Glassbox piece to be announced in May.

I also think these work but haven’t seen em yet so… Most probably not as nice as the Heuer glassboxes but I’m pretty sure a younger generation will actually prefer the new ones. I expect the upcoming Skipper will be the best of the new generation so far. Certainly not as tasty as the Hodinkee Skipper but I think the new curved bezel will work well with a less crowded dial.

Yes I think you're correct. The dial is less busy and the bezel is less cluttered.

Today in Catalonia we celebrate the 'Diada de Sant Jordi' (Saint George’s Day) in a very special way, giving away roses and books. It is here Lover’s Day and Day of the Book (World Book Day). The pink strap was the obvious choice 😀

Well it's not that noticeable to be honest cos it's so small. I think the glass covering everything makes it seem even smaller than it is. Honestly these are my least favourite TAGs since the comedy faced Aquaracers from about 15 years ago.

I can understand Albert's point though, I knew I wasn't going to like the black one, but based on some photos I thought i might just be okay with the blue. In reality I wouldn't thank you for either, honestly.
