Nice job. And great to see the first generation Cal.16 Carreras starting to receive the TLC that they IMHO deserve… Such a nice and timeless design.

Thank you! I agree wholeheartedly, I’ve loved these since they came out all those years ago. Truth be told, half the fun of this hobby is finding beaters and seeing if you can make them whole again. It doesn’t always work out, but you learn something new at every attempt. I have an S-EL and Link (both chronometer based ETA2892 movements) coming up next, and then a Caliber 16 Aquaracer as well. Hopefully I have similar luck. I didn’t see a “watchmaking” section here, but if you guys would like to see the process I wouldn’t mind documenting it.

Wearing this today, quite like it to be honest, haven’t settled on a hole on the strap as one seems loose and the next one up a touch tight so we shall see
