And so you should be. Stunning.
They’ve always got me in the fact the dials are so simple yet so detailed/deep and somehow complex at the same time. I’m not sure what it is, but just something. Well done.

Monza back in the safe, got my Classic out as a Christmas week watch.

My wife bought me this for Christmas 2003, shortly after I got my pips in work.

She’s also got hers out (if you pardon the expression) which means her F1 gets a rest.

Tried this on today, I absolutely love it. It's in my local pawnbrokers for £1900, apparently from the early 80s. Any ideas what it's worth? I have a much bigger urge to buy it than I did any of the watches I tried on in terminal 5 a couple of weeks back, once again proving you have to try stuff on, not just look at pictures online.

Sorry for the crappy image size, ios won't let me resize.

Very nice watches, I've owned a couple. However, £1900 seems overpriced to me and it doesn't look in mint condition. I managed to get one for £750 on eBay a couple of years ago but prices have definitely risen since then. I would expect £1200-1500 depending on condition (take a look at this listing for example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Used-Ome...305162&hash=item4d6a148788:g:InoAAOSwn-tZEEZgPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network).

You should factor in the cost of a service if buying one of these used, and also be aware that it can be expensive to service as most watchmakers replace the chrono module instead of servicing it. However, an official Omega service would cost exactly the same as any other chronograph model (but it's still not cheap).

I'd say a Reduced should be 1200-1500 US, not GBP. Check eBay for them, they grow on trees :)

In UK I'd be looking around £900 for one in "good" condition with some signs of wear. About £1200-1300 for pretty much unmarked. A bracelet seems to add about £100. There are at least of couple of watchmakers who can do a service without replacing the Dubois Dépraz module, but expect a bill of about £350. Heuers are of course cheaper to service, even the "piggy-back" Cal 11s. ;)

An article by Fratello says it was introduced in 1988, so 1990s is more likely. There are websites with Omega serial numbers matched to years so it is easy to check. Mine came through eBay, but I did examine it in person before committing.

Currently rocking my Monza in festive mode with a red Eulit Palma 22mm perlon strap. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday period :)

    Hi OttoWilliam,

This is where I got it from: http://www.holbensfinewatchbands.com/eulit-palma-woven-nylon-perlon-red-one-piece/

These straps are made in Germany, but this colour seems to be near impossible to get in the UK for some reason. I've now got the 22mm red and black palma on mine and I have to say its hands down the best perlon strap you can get, I've tried the Miltat one which is shockingly bad, the WatchGecko one is an ok weave but the buckle is horrible.

Here is a picture of the buckle on my blacks strap:

Thanks for that link to the straps, might just try a blue version on the "McQueen", I really like the idea of being able to size the strap exactly to your preferred tightness on the wrist.
