I’m guessing this won’t be a forum favourite, but it’s much better in the metal than and render or photo shows. I’ve basically worn it every day for the last week as it’s so comfortable.

And the bracelet is a game changer a proper tapering oyster with the t-fit.

now to find a cheap Pre owned 58 at some point.

Congrats Steve! You're on a Tudor roll! 😉
The Ranger has grown on me some, it's a solid watch for the money! 👍

Thanks Michael, I know - in a world where the likes of omega (for me) are becoming too expensive, they offer great bang for buck and are great daily drivers.

I’m fairly sure my next watch will be a tag however - albeit I’m next in line for a FXD. I want to hold off a while and enjoy the ones I have first however.

I am really looking forward to trying this on, it looks great in your photo. Unlike the rest of the forum, I'm really excited about this one!

I hear you, I find Tudor's value proposition very compelling. I'm supposedly next in line with my AD for a FXD too, but they've been saying that since the beginning of the year. I actually hope I don't get the call, since I'm trying to save up for next year's 60th Anniversary Carrera.

Thank you - it wears a lot smaller than my photo shows.

It’s also more visually exciting than photos or renders would have you imagine. The hands reflect a lot of light and the bezel, much like the pro, has some kind of radial brushing which plays with the light. That and a less than huge dose of AR make for a watch with a bit more pop than you’d think (I’m not for one minute saying this is blingy btw).

It looks a lot better outside the AD also. The ‘yellow’ lume under the AD lights is much more restrained once out of there.

It’s definitely a grower. The more I wear it, the more I appreciate and like it.

Me too , and in all honesty I suspect it will be a little big for me.

having thoroughly enjoyed the green monaco (lack of green aside), I fancy a blue or gulf one as my next. Not the H02 versions but something a little older. Will give it a few months however.

Congrats Steve. Would you be using the Ranger bracelet on the BB58 if you get one?

Thanks Charlie - That’s the plan. I’ve had both 58’s in the last 2 years but the bracelet didn’t fit 100% for me - either too big with an extra link and minimum holes or vice-Versa. For a good part of the year it’s fine but during the summer it became uncomfortable, and I tend not to travel with a screwdriver and extra links in tow!

This bracelet solves that for me, which is great as in all other aspects they are absolutely terrific watches. It will also give me the option to pick on up on the leather which will give me the full set of 20mm options, having the pro on the great Tudor fabric.

Yes, I wear my 58 blue on nato mostly for that reason. But I'm hoping to pick up a Ranger bracelet once they become more available.

I suspect they will be available to order in a couple of months. If the cost of the pro bracelet is anything to go by, it will be around 550 quid. One point to note is that this tapers properly like an oyster rather than the step taper of other Tudor bracelets. I think it will look great on the 58.

I will have a hard decision between OG and blue again as I liked both very much aesthetically.

Both blue and OG are equally good choices imo. I sold OG to buy blue and I made the right choice for me but there are times I really miss the gilt warmth of the OG.

The only thing wrong with the Ranger bracelet on the BB58 will be the brushed sides but hoping it won't be very noticeable.

I had this issue on my bb58 on leather, the lack of micro adjust meant it was either too small or too big, so I punched another hole in between that somehow is perfect

Tudor are really hitting the spot for me too lately. The Pro hasn't come off my wrist for a week now.
As Michael mentioned at the price point you can't go wrong.
Enjoy it mate.

I honestly don’t think it will be noticeable. And if it is, it’s an easy ish fix with a cape cod cloth, if you are that way inclined.

One other option is a pro bracelet and a bit of work on the mid piece which fits into the end link with a dremel. Not necessarily for me, but I believe someone on the Rolex forum has done so.

also, forstner do oysters and jubilee bracelets for he 58 which are (by all accounts) very good and a fraction of the price.

Yeah, I’ve had the same. As you say an extra hole makes the diff.

that said, it makes you appreciate tag’s leather deployant which is the best I’ve worn by far.

Thanks Anthony. Glad you are enjoying the pro mate. A great watch indeed - note to self, I must wear mine next week!

I like the slimmer profile of the older Monacos too. However, I prefer the new Gulf H02 over the previous CAW211R. The starburst blue of the new Gulf's dial is the nicest I've seen, plus it has the right shade of Gulf blue on its stripe and orange accents. The CAW211R is a nice watch, but the wrong shade of blue (a little too dark to be Gulf blue) on the stripe and its red accents bug me.
