Almost as hot here as it was in Greece (minus the air con!)

Nice, gotta love the heat during summer! 😎

I’ll be honest, I’ll take a nice 22-23. Upwards of 30 with carpet and insulation does my head in. Still, a good excuse for a cold beer…..😁

Tried out a very poor DIY strap attempt. Got a rally strap with white stitching and thought about colouring with the wrong shade of purple ::facepalm1::::facepalm1::

The strap stitching looks like pure purple to my eyes. Perhaps the dial is more of a deep burgundy😕

Yup, that's what happened. On plane paper the purple colour I had seemed to be near perfect. But on the watch stitching, seems quite off. I've basically come to the conclusion that the dial is more of an aubergine colour - that's because I've been holding it up against eggplants in the supermarket for a while now 😁

Show me a better case design. It’s better than the new sub. Big 5512/5513 and 14060 vibe.

Maybe this one…

Narp, lugs are too wide and square. Like a suit with 80s style shoulder pads. Took me ages to figure out why I dislike the current sub/gmt master until I tried one on, then was super obvious, the switch to maxi case and subsequent tweaks to try and fix it just ruined it for me.

Wearing my Formula 1, a birthday present, only had it 2 weeks, my first experience with an automatic. Replaces my old link bought back in 2004. Problem is it’s ignited a ‘watch bug’ in me…want more now lol

I also like the boxy design of the maxi case. A far more modern look than the classic sub, which the BB58 emanates. Future collectors will love the relatively short period of maxi cases, no doubt. Expect a maxi case classic Tudor diver in 2035.

Nothing, working in the garden cutting trees, conifer hedges, those wee bits of trimmings get every place, had to empty my pockets and shoes twice, too hot for this nonsense really.

Having a ten minute water break.
