Nice 👍 Steel or titanium version?
Head only it weighs 49g, I'll let you do the math.😁

It’s actually very pretty

This is the combo I'm interested in. I didn't specify bracelet style but to be honest would probably take either if I "got the call" (I hate that phrase). Actually, I think I prefer the fluted bezel also, but that adds quite a lot to the price, and I think maybe the under the radar look with the smooth bezel would be more wearable every day.

I prefer the oyster but have that on the sub already. Also the DJ just works with the jubilee.

This was the one I tried on recently. Probably this dial with oyster bracelet and smooth bezel is my first choice but seems beggars can't be choosers.

Given how tiny this woman’s watch is, it could still be both 😜

Today’s Modular 45 combo: Calibre 5 mechanical module on titanium lugs and buckle, and black calfskin strap 1FT6079

This is my new item.
Interesting concept: a slide rule for the wrist with an accessory watch… 😁

Nice. Is that a 36mm? Because either “bezel-ed” version in 40-ish mm doesn’t look ideal, IMHO…

A Rolex diver, a Rolex dress-watch… I guess next Yago will queue up for a Daytona!🍿

Today: A watch that I’d wholeheartedly recommend if someone asked me about an affordable, but still good quality, reissue of an iconic diver (affordable = well less than 1k)…

I asked and the wait is approx 6-7 years haha
Not that I’d buy one, I don’t like modern Daytonas at all. A new sub however.

Indeed 36mm. 41 seemed too large.

Ah, that being the Captain Willard in green SPB153, right?

Correct. Difficult lighting (cloudy end of day), but the green dial is actually very nice.

The real kicker of that watch is the case design: Not only do you have the “cushion effect” (= shorter L2L than the diameter would suggest), but the case-flanks slope quite strongly “inward”. That results in the Willard occupying less “footprint” on the wrist than one would normally expect for a watch of this size ( I think the MarineMaster uses the same trick).
