Old faithful Aquagraph in the garden...

After literally two minutes in the garden (having been taken out of it's box just before) it's already shining like a beacon!

Its a #SpeedyTuesday
That is a beautiful watch my friend, I had a speedmaster reduced and regret selling it, I often look out for a good example and may treat myself one day but its hard to move away from the three Tags I have and love after careful choosing them, well not the smartwatch Tag thats because I like gadgets!

Just to clarify, I'm not the OP / owner of that watch - just answering your question 😉

But you're right, it's one of the better Speedies and sold out in minutes.

I like my Speedy Reduced a lot -- and also a lot more more than I expected being for close to 50 years a bare-bones, no tracks, Carrera wearer. Why haven't I taken photos of the Speedy??? Must correct that.

I bought it because I wanted an all black watch (no, not supporting the New Zealand rugby team, I'm English), and 1960s Heuers are now out of reach.

I've owned the Reduced as well. Twice! Very under-appreciated watch. The most recent I owned was this one - quite a rare dial combination but worth hunting down if you like the panda look of the Speedy Tuesday. (I currently own a Speedy FOIS instead).

Do keep in mind service costs for Speedmaster Reduced are quite a bit higher than those for the Professional due to the modular chronograph design, though

Omega charge you exactly the same for servicing the Reduced as the Pro. But you may be correct if going the independent route.

Well guys, ended up choosing this one over the LHD Pelagos instead. Think it was the right the decision 😉

After what Omega charged me for a time+date-only Seamaster (quartz, but I bought it in 1982 knowing no better) there was no way I was going to send my Reduced to them. My usual watchmaker didn't want to do it having only serviced that complication once before and he said "I got lucky". But I did find someone with a good reputation in the UK who was happy to do it. Figure a cost 50% greater than for a straight manual-wind integrated movement chrono.

That's because the movement is so difficult to service, Omega actually throws them away and replaces them with new movements!
I'm not 100% sure but I thought they only replaced the bolt-on chrono module (not the whole movement) with a refurbished one, and recycled the old one.

I understood the chrono module was replaced with a new one, perhaps they have run out of new stock. But as I've found there are independent watchmakers who will service it -- at a price, so Omega themselves should be able to refurb -- at an even higher price.😁
