It’s the 30th anniversary (and 31st edition) of the F1 GP at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

I was there in 1991, and in most of the other editions, but not this year… only 1000 spectators (by lottery) are allowed, because of the Covid. Next year should be full of F1 fans again 👍

like having an old friend back on my wrist. Wore a 1000 daily for about 20 years (not quite like this one to be fair)

Funny how the we're seeing more original 844s on this forum than the new Aquaracer.

I love the flexibility of all titanium with black leather one day and switch it up to titanium/black/brown leather the next.

It fits my adult ADD.

This famous Senna-Mansell battle occurred in the first GP at the Circuit de Catalunya, in 1991

Mansell won that race, but Senna won the 1991 Title 😉

But best memories for me are from the 1993 edition, whith Prost, Senna, and Schumacher (in that order) on the podium.
Just when the three drivers entered the podium, the person responsible for the protocol at the Circuit (a girl who is a big fan of Ayrton), ordered the public address system to play a well-known and beautiful Brazilian song (Você Abusou, by Maria Creuza)... so, even without winning, Ayrton could hear music on the podium that was dedicated to him 😀

A time when Senna was a less than honourable driver. Some of his 'tactics' were reprehensible although no worse than Schumacher or even Hamilton in more recent years.

I totally agree with considering Schumacher an unsportsmanlike driver (for example expressly colliding with Hill in Australia 1994 to win his first Title, and trying to do the same with Villeneuve in Jerez 1997), but not Senna and Hamilton. It is not the same to be a tough and aggressive driver (there we could also add Max), than to be a dirty and unsportsmanlike driver like Schumacher was.

Mansell and Senna had great fights on the track, but fair fights, and for that reason they had a good friendship and mutual respect.

And that lume after being in the sun?

The lume isn't very strong on the Carreras, they're a bit dressier compared to divers etc
